JUSTICE FOR TAPIWA MYRONE
Welcome to our series dedicated to unveiling the profound challenges faced by Tapiwa Myron. Born in Pretoria, South Africa, Myron is the son of Trevor Tutu and the grandson of Desmond and Leah Tutu. This series aims to shed light on his struggle against injustice and denial of his identity.

Background
Tapiwa Myron, born in Pretoria, South Africa, is the unrecognized grandson of the esteemed human rights advocate, Desmond Tutu, and the son of Trevor Tutu. Despite his profound lineage, Myron’s life has been starkly different from the legacy of his grandfather. Growing up without support from his famous grandparents, his mother, Auxilia Goromonzi, has been left to fend for both their needs alone.
Myron’s only “sin” is being born into a family—a choice not of his own making, which has paradoxically excluded him from the care and recognition one would expect from such prominent relatives. This blog and our associated campaign seek to secure justice and recognition for Myron, ensuring he receives the rights and support he is rightfully entitled to as a South African national and as a direct descendant of Desmond Tutu.
